Product Information
Q: What is high phenolic olive oil?
A: It’s extra virgin olive oil with a very high concentration of olive polyphenols—powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatories that support heart, gut, brain, and skin health. Oleaphen delivers up to 30X more olive polyphenols than standard EVOO.
Q: What is considered “high phenolic”?
A: According to EU Regulation 432/2012, olive oil with more than 250 mg/kg of phenolic compounds qualifies as high phenolic olive oil. Oleaphen surpasses this standard, offering up to 30 times more phenolics than regular extra virgin olive oil. This makes it an exceptional option for those looking to benefit from its significantly higher phenolic content.
Q: How is Oleaphen different from regular olive oil?
A: Our High Potency Phenolic Olive Oil is up to 30 times more concentrated in polyphenols than regular extra virgin olive oil. Using biodiverse rich olive groves, creating therapeutic compounds and storage in 5 ml seaweed pods, we preserve maximum potency and prevent oxidation—ensuring a lab-certified, nutraceutical-grade product.
Q: What are olive polyphenols and why do they matter?
A: They’re potent antioxidants unique to olives, like oleocanthal and hydroxytyrosol, that fight inflammation, protect your heart, and support your immune and cognitive functions.
Q: Does high phenolic olive oil taste different from regular olive oil?
A: Yes, high phenolic olive oil has a more robust, peppery flavor due to its high concentration of polyphenols. Some may describe it as more bitter or pungent compared to regular olive oil, a sign of its potency.
Q: Is Oleaphen High Potency Phenolic Olive Oil a food or supplement?
A: It’s both. Oleaphen is a natural, functional food—a nutraceutical. It contains no additives and is suitable for most people, unless you have an olive or olive oil allergy.
Q: Are there any allergens?
A: Our product contains only 100% cold-extracted high phenolic olive oil. Anyone with an olive allergy should avoid it.

Production & Quality
Q: How is Oleaphen produced?
A: We follow a meticulous production process that includes hand harvesting in September and October, as soon as our olives are picked, they go in our refrigerated trucks to our state of the art mill where the oil is cold-extracted using our proprietary methods to preserve polyphenol content, then the oil is stored under protective atmospheres in a refrigerated environment. This ensures our oil maintains its potency and freshness.
Q: Where are the olives grown?
A: Our olives are grown in Cyprus, taking advantage of the unique terroir and Mediterranean climate.
Q: What farming methods does Oleaphen uses?
A: Oleaphen proudly supports a network of regenerative and permaculture-focused olive farmers who share our commitment to restoring ecosystems and producing the highest quality olive oil, naturally.
We collaborate closely with a community who embrace biodiversity, soil health, and low-intervention practices. That means no pesticides—ever—not even organic ones. Instead, many of our partners use Zeolite, a natural, food-safe mineral, to protect olives from pests without harming beneficial life.
We also encourage the use of integrated animal systems, where donkeys, ducks, and chickens roam freely, fertilize the soil, and help manage vegetation. Spiders and other natural predators are respected as key players in maintaining ecological balance.
Together with our growers, we’re proving that restorative farming can produce superior therapeutic olive oil while healing the land.
Q: Is Oleaphen olive oil organic?
A: While we don't have organic certification yet for all of our groves, our practices go beyond organic. We use permaculture methods, do not use pesticides, and prioritize environmental stewardship. All batches are independently analyzed for pesticide residues and micro-plastics.
Q: How does Oleaphen ensure the quality of its olive oil?
A: We maintain a strict cold chain from harvest to storage, use cutting-edge extraction techniques, and have each batch independently analyzed and traceable.
Q: Is your oil independently tested?
A: Yes. We use LC‑MS/MS analysis, the gold standard for accurate polyphenol measurement, endorsed by EFSA.
Storage & Shelf Life
Q: How should I store my pods?
A: We’ve kept them refrigerated and dark until now. Even if you store your pods at room temperature for a month, your olive polyphenols remain stable.
To maximise shelf life, keep your pods:
-
Away from heat and direct sunlight
-
In a cool, dry cupboard or pantry
-
Refrigerated if storing for long periods
There’s no need to refrigerate, but temperature consistency matters for protecting polyphenol levels.
Q: How long do they last?
A: Properly stored, pods maintain peak potency for up to 2 years thanks to our oxidative-resistant packaging.
Q: How are the olive polyphenols preserved until I use them?
A: Unlike regular bottled olive oil, which loses up to 40% of its potency in the first weeks after opening, Oleaphen is sealed in biodegradable seaweed-based pods and oxygen-blocking packaging. Combined with cold storage and no light exposure, this protects the oil from oxidation and guarantees you get a clinically precise dose every time you open and consume it.
