Oleaphen Lab Results:
2026 Harvest Now Under Analysis

oleaphen harvest 2026 olives

The 2026 harvest is in, and the oil is now with the laboratories.

Certified results will appear on this page as soon as the full analysis is complete.

Until then, here are the complete, certified results from our 2025 harvest.

First results from the lab are in, and total phenols are above 2025.

Certified figures follow once the full panel is complete.

Where the 2026 harvest is now

Phenols start to fade from the moment an olive is picked, and warmth and air speed that up. So our olives never wait in the sun: they are refrigerated in our own truck as soon as they leave the tree, and the oil is extracted very quickly under strict cold, with no oxygen. The oil keeps what the tree made.

  • Harvest: September 2026, super early-harvest olives, Cyprus. Done.

  • Cold from the tree: the moment the olives leave the tree, they go straight into our refrigerated truck. Done.

  • Extraction: the oil is extracted very quickly, under strict cold and with no oxygen. Done.

  • Laboratory analysis: in progress. HPLC under the International Olive Council method for the EU health claim, LC-MS/MS compound profiling at Universidad de Córdoba, and the full EU quality panel.

  • Results published here: as soon as certificates are issued.

  • Waitlist access: waitlist members get the shop link and access password before public release.

2025 harvest results:
12,118 mg/kg of bioactive compounds (sold out)

The 2025 harvest came through a severe drought year in Cyprus, with peaks of 48 °C and very little winter rain. Trees under that stress concentrate their protective compounds, and the analysis shows it.

It sold out within weeks of release.

2025 harvest:

· 12,118 mg/kg total bioactive compounds
· 2,236 mg/kg polyphenols
· 1,248 mg/kg oleocanthal
· 7,030 mg/kg squalene
· 2,370 mg/kg sterols
· 481.9 mg/kg vitamin E

International Olive Council (IOC) logo - olive oil testing standards authority

International Olive Council (IOC) — Analysis performed using the IOC-accredited HPLC and LC-MS/MS methods (COI/T.20/Doc. No 29), HPLC is the only laboratory method recognized by the IOC and EFSA for individual phenolic compound quantification.

European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) logo - health claim authorization body

European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) — Our hydroxytyrosol and derivatives concentration meets the EU Regulation 432/2012 health claim threshold (5 mg per 20g serving) by a factor of 8.9x.

How Oleaphen is tested

Every harvest goes through third party independent  analysis.

HPLC, IOC method COI/T.20/Doc. No 29. This is the official reference method for the EU olive oil polyphenol health claim. It gives the figure that counts for the claim: milligrams of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives per 20 g of oil.

LC-MS/MS. Liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry identifies and measures individual compounds, including oleocanthal and oleacein. Our polyphenol profiling is carried out by the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Universidad de Córdoba, Campus de Rabanales (analyst F. Priego-Capote).

Quality and authenticity. Acidity, peroxide value, UV absorbance, fatty acids, sterols and sensory panel results are checked against EU Regulation 2022/2104 for extra virgin olive oil.

Figures from NMR are sometimes quoted for olive oils. NMR is not recognised by the IOC or EFSA for this measurement and tends to give higher numbers, so results from different methods cannot be compared directly. We publish HPLC and LC-MS/MS only.

Frequently asked questions

When will the Oleaphen 2026 lab results be published?

The 2026 harvest is in, and the oil is being analysed now. Certified results, using the HPLC method set by the International Olive Council plus LC-MS/MS compound profiling, will be published on this page as soon as the full panel is complete.

How do I get the 2026 harvest?

Each harvest is released to the waitlist first. Waitlist members receive the shop link and access password before the public release. The 2025 harvest sold out within weeks.

Is the 2025 harvest still available?

No. The 2025 harvest has sold out. Its lab certificates stay on this page for reference.

Which laboratories tested the Oleaphen 2025 harvest?

Polyphenols were measured by LC-MS/MS at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Universidad de Córdoba, Spain (analyst F. Priego-Capote). Quality parameters were analysed by Chem Solutions Analytical Laboratories in Athens, an IOC-recognised laboratory.

Why does Oleaphen use HPLC and LC-MS/MS rather than NMR?

HPLC following IOC method COI/T.20/Doc. No 29 is the official reference method for the EU olive oil polyphenol health claim. LC-MS/MS identifies and quantifies individual compounds such as oleocanthal and oleacein. NMR is not recognised by the IOC or EFSA for this purpose, so figures from different methods are not directly comparable.

Health Claim: Oleaphen contains more than 5mg of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives per 20g of olive oil (8.9x above the required minimum). The daily consumption of 20g of olive oil contributes to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress, in accordance with EU Regulation 432/2012.

Methodology: Polyphenol concentrations, including oleocanthal and oleacein, are measured by independent laboratories using HPLC (International Olive Council official method) and LC-MS/MS. All values are measured at the time of harvest.

Our harvest data reflects the unique terroir of our regenerative groves in Cyprus.
